Exposure Control
This fl'ature autoinatically adjusts the exposure for the b_'st available picture quality for
most recording. Mam]al exposure adjustment is recommended in the f'ollowing situations:
When shooting using reverse lighting or when the background is too bright
When shooting on a reflective natural background such as at the beach or when
skiing
When the background is overly dark or the sub}ect light

Press in the Lock button while setting the
POWER switch to CAMERA.
In Record Standl_y, set the EASY/MAN//AL/
AUTO switch to MAN/AL. Press the MENI/
DISPLAY button repeatedly to display the menu
screen.
Press or to select I_1, and then press SET:
Press or to select I']XPOSI/I,'E, and then
press S1,27:
Press or to select MANUAL, and then press
The exposure setting screen is displayed.
Use the CONTROL dial to select an exposure
setting, and then press the CON ['ROL dial in to
select tim exposure setting (+5 most light
to 5qeast ]igh0.
To return exposure to AITI{), repeat steps 2 5
and select AUTO.
Press tile MENUiI)ISPLAY button repeatedly to
remove tile menu screen.
The camcorder returns to Record Standby.
Notes:
The camcorder will return to AUTO
Exposure mode if a scene setting is
selected and then canceled afterward.
Exposure control cannot be used with
Night Mode.
