Using the TV's Menu System
Ethernet Setup
If you have a NAT,PATdevice with DHCP capabxhty, no setup is required The
TV automaucally sets itself up for Ethemet use If you do not have a NAT/PAT
router, you may need to establish some settings m conlunction with your ISP
(Internet Service Prov*der) before you can connect to the lnternet Your ISP
needs your TV's MAC (Media Access Control) address to give you a host name
This appears on the same screen where you set the host name as required by
your ISP It is unhkely you may need to fill xn the IP address and,or Port by
your ISP You may need to enter another IP address for the proxy server to gain
access to other hosts on the Intemet Th_s address, ff requ*red, wdl be provided
by your ISP
A ResetAll selection is provided for your convenience If you mo\'e the TV to
another city and ha,,e to enter new reformation
Preferences Menu
The Preference menu allows you to change some aspects of your "IV to fit your
personal preferences Features in the Preference menu are Closed Captzomng,
Screen Format, Record Output, Color Scbeme, Transhtcency, Menu Language,
Digital Channel lnfo
Closed Captioning
You may set the wpe of captiomng displayed from the main tuner Captiomng is
not available from the PIP tuner Choices wtthxn the Closed Captioning menu
are Captzon Display, Analog Captzons, D_gttal Captions, Caption PnonOJ,
Caption Style
Caption Display
The Caption Display menu displays a choice list that lets you choose when
closed captioning information is shown on the screen Input 5 (DVI-HDTV) is
not supported by Closed Captioning
Closed Captioning On Captiomng reformation is shown always, when
available
Closed Captioning Off No captioning reformation is displayed
On When Muted Captioning reformation ts only shown when the TV's sound
is muted, when avadable (To mute the sound, press the MUTE button on the
remote control and captioning information will appear on the screen )
