GET DIGITAL DATA does not represent or warrant that it is the rightful owner of any specific information in the Metadata and specifically disclaims ownership of any third-party copyrighted material in the databases, including any artwork or album summary information. DIGITAL DATA shall have no liability regarding any claim arising out of: (a) use of other than a current, unaltered release of the Metadata unless the infringing portion is also in the then current, unaltered release, (b) use of the Metadata in combination with non-GET DIGITAL DATA software, data or equipment if the infringement was caused by such use or combination, (c) any modification or derivation of the Metadata not specifically authorized in writing by GET DIGITAL DATA or (d) use of third party softwa

RCA easyRip™ Media Software lets you import music files from CDs and other sources, organize your music library, and transfer unprotected MP3 and WMA files to and from this player. Connecting to the computer • • • • Connect the player to your computer with the USB cable provided. The player will turn on automatically. The player will be connected in MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode. It will appear as a drive letter on your computer and behave as a detachable drive for file transfer in one or both directions. The RCA easyRip™ Media Software installer is stored on the player.
• • • It may take several seconds for the player to be detected. Click View -> Refresh in My Computer or Windows Explorer to make sure the player has been detected. The player is capable of transferring files at USB 2.0. If a USB 2.0 port is available on your computer, use it to connect to your player. The player is still backward compatible with the older USB 1.1 ports; however, you will not be able to take full advantage of the potential speed increase.
Managing files on your RCA Player Before you begin using your RCA player, you’ll want to copy your media files to the player. You can use any of the following methods to transfer content: • • RCA easyRip Drag and drop files using Windows Explorer • • Video files must be converted and transferred via RCA easyRip for playback on your player. Video and photo files must be transferred to their respective folders on the player to ensure proper detection and playback.
Using Windows Explorer To copy files in MSC mode: 1. Open the player in Windows Explorer. 2. Drag and drop music files into the Music folder; photo files into the Photo folder; video files into the Video folder and text file to the Text folder. Deleting files from the player You may delete any files transferred to the player. 1. Connect the player to your computer. 2. Open the player in Windows Explorer and then navigate to the folder containing the files. 3.

Using the menus The Home menu The top-level or “Home” menu is always displayed when you press the Home button. The menu options are: Audio Select to start audio playback, and choose an artist, album, genre, individual title or recorded files. Video Select to enter the Video menu and choose a particular video for viewing. Photo Select to enter the Photo menu and choose a particular image for viewing. Radio Select to listen to Radio and choose different options in radio menu.
Settings Select to enter the Settings menu, which lets you: • Display the firmware version, space used, and space available • Set date and time • Change the language of the player’s menus • Change the screensaver setting and screen brightness • Calibrate the touch screen • Choose the power save setting • Reset the player’s settings to the factory defaults. • Format device to cleanup all data.
Audio Playing music files From the Home menu select Audio. Tap Library to navigate through the Audio Library. The player sorts your audio files by track name (title), artist, album, genre and recorded files. Select the desired item and tap Play to start playback or tap Now Playing to return to the now playing screen. To delete file, tap delete in the browsing screen. Video Playing video files From the Home menu select Video. Navigate through the browser and select the desired item to start viewing. Radio The radio uses the earphones as an antenna. For better reception, extend the earphone cable as far as possible. File manager From the Home menu select File Manager. You can browse folders and files in the device. Navigate through the browser and select the desired folder or item to start playback or viewing. You can also delete selected file.
Applications From the Home menu select Applications. Calendar Tap or to select month and year. Select date by directly clicking on the number on the screen. The number will then be highlighted in blue. Stopwatch Tap Start/Pause to start/pause counting. Tap Lap to start lap counting. The player can record up to five laps. Tap clear to clear previous data. Additional information Tips and troubleshooting Cannot delete files on the player. • You can delete files on the player using your computer. 1. Connect the player to your computer. 2. Open the player in Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the files. 3. Select the files you want to remove and then press the Delete key on the keyboard of your PC. • For deleting files from the player, see File Manager menu for details.
The player takes a long time to read files in a folder. • File reading may take longer if too many files are put in a single folder. Re-organize your files into a number of folders. Song information is not showing correctly. • Song information may not match your current player’s language setting. Change the language setting. Cannot view photo files. • The player only supports. jpg, .bmp, .tiff, .png, gif. • NOTE: Other format of photo files may not be supported.
