Follow the steps below to set up your remote using the Code Search method. If you complete these steps and your device does not respond, follow the Code List method for your device. Turning the TV On and Off 1. Press TV to set the remote to control the TV (Most RCA, GE and 0000 ProScan models will only turn on i when TV is pressed, not OFF/ON). OFF/ON 2. Press OFF/ON to turn the TV on or off. Change Channels on the TV Press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN to change channels on the TV or enter the channels as you would normally for your TV. Turning the Cable Box On and Off Point the remote at the cable box AIJX and press CABLE. 0600 Press OFF/ON to turn it on or off.

Press REW to rewind the tape. PAUSE 6. Press PAUSE to pause the tape. 7. Press FF to fast forward the tape.
The CUSTOM button allows you to store 10 of your favorite TV channels in memory You can access these channels using the remote’s number buttons. Note: With these brands, the device button (TV, VCR) will usually turn the units on. The OFF/ON button will only turn these devices off. SCIENTIFIC ATLANTIC Cable Boxes: This brand of cable box can be programmed using the code search method by using the CHANNEL UP key rather than OFF/ON during Code Search.
