Connecting to the computer Player USB port of your computer • • Remove the cap for the USB port from the player body and connect the player to your PC as shown. Go to My Computer (XP users) /Go to Computer (Vista, 7, and 8 users) in the Start menu, find and open the drive letter associated with the player (i.e. RCA MP3). Copy music to the device by dragging and dropping files using Windows Explorer.
Managing files on your RCA Player Before you begin using your RCA Player, you’ll want to copy your music to the player.
Deleting files from the player You may delete any files transferred to the player. 1. Connect the player to your computer. 2. Open the player in Windows Explorer and then navigate to the folder containing the files. 3. Select the files you want to remove and then press the Delete key on the keyboard of your PC. Disconnecting the player from the PC Windows will show the player as a removable disk: 1.

Playback music files Playing music files 1. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to navigate to MSC. 2. Press OK to enter MSC mode. Note: In all playback modes, press and hold OK to return to the menu.

Options available: Normal, Repeat one, Dir Normal, Dir All Repeat, Repeat All, Random all and Intro. • Equalizer – Toggles equalizer mode. Options available: Natural, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, DBB • Replay – To repeat a section between two points A and B in your currently playing file. When "A-" of "A-B" blinks on the display, rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise at the beginning of your repeat section.
Record Start recording 1. Press the REC/STOP button, or from the main menu. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to navigate to REC and press OK to enter REC mode. 2. Press to start recording. 3. Press REC/STOP or 4. Press and hold to pause or resume recording. , OK, or REC/STOP to save the recording. FM Radio The radio uses the earphones as an antenna. For better reception, extend the earphone cable as far as possible. Note that you can also adjust for noisy FM by shifting the earphone cord position. Playing FM radio To turn the radio on: 1. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to navigate to FM. 2. Press OK to enter FM mode. The frequency screen appears. Note: In all playback modes, press and hold OK to return to the menu.
To listen to a preset station: When the radio is playing, press to select a desired preset station. Recording FM radio You can record the radio and play back recordings as well as copy the recordings (WAV files) to your PC. To record the currently playing radio station: 1. Press OK to display the Option menu. 2. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to highlight Record and then press OK. This will enter Record mode. See the Record section for more details.
Settings Changing the Player’s settings 1. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to navigate to SYS. 2. Press OK to enter SYS mode. 3. Rotate the skip back/reverse knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to highlight an option and then press OK to confirm the selection or change the setting. Note: In all playback modes, press and hold OK to return to the menu. Language • Changes the language of the player menus.
Additional information Tips and troubleshooting Cannot delete files on the player. • You can delete files on the player using your computer. 1. Connect the player to your computer. 2. Open the player in Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the files. 3. Select the files you want to remove and then press the Delete key on the keyboard of your PC. Player repeats same tracks or all tracks. • Repeat play is turned on.
The player takes a long time to read files in a folder. • File reading may take longer if too many files are put in a single folder. Re-organize your files into a number of folders. Song information is not showing correctly. • Song information may not match your current player’s language setting. Change the language setting. • Only English language is supported. The player reports that it is full. • You have filled the capacity of the internal memory of the player. Cannot playback tracks on the player.
