What is REACH Barrier™?
To understand what REACH Barrier™ is, it
helps to understand why a radiant barrier is
such an effective insulator, the two modes of
heat transfer and how they work. Heat
travels by a mixture of conduction, convection
and radiation. Fiberglass, cellulose and foam
are all designed to slow the flow of
convection and conductive heat.
Although each of these insulation types is
effective, they are not designed to stop the
flow of radiant heat. REACH Barrier™
reflective insulation and radiant barrier
technology blocks up to 95% of the radiant
heat.

The REACH Barrier™ Garage Door
Insulation Kit uses REACH Bubble
Insulation which is comprised of two
layers of 5/32” barrier bubble
laminated between two layers of
durable and economical reflective
polyethylene to create a radiant
bubble insulation product. REACH
Bubble Insulation will retain its air
much longer than competitive
bubble products. This results in
much more consistent R values.
Tests indicate that under a one
pound psi load for four days, the
competitive bubble can lose up to 35%
of the air or thickness.
REACH Bubble Insulation will only lose 5% of its air
thickness. REACH Bubble Insulation’s ability to
retain its air longer means a better product for you.
REACH Bubble Insulation is also made of 20%
recycled material resulting in a “greener” product.
REACH Bubble Insulation is also available in
extended widths up to ten feet wide.
