Programming SAFE ZONE Tags
An operator tags onto a SAFE-ZONE tag to indicate that they are in a protected area. Tagging in
to a SAFE-ZONE tag has the effect of preventing a proximity detection.
Program SAFE ZONE Tags:
1. Open Tag Manager Software.
2. Connect RFID Read/ Writer to the computer. A green tick will be displayed in the RFID Read/ Writer
Status box.
3. Click Edit Tag
4. Place a Tag on the RFID card Read/ Writer.
5. A green tick will be displayed in the Tag Status. The SAFE-ZONE tag is programmed with the following
information
I. The Zone Type Open or Enclosed
When tagged to an “Enclosed” SAFE-ZONE, proximity with another HAVwear or
RASOR will not be detected and the user will not be alerted.
When tagged to an “Open SAFE-ZONE, proximity with another HAVwear or RASOR
will not be detected and the user will not be alerted if they are also tagged into a
SAFE-ZONE. If the approaching individual has not been tagged into any type of SAFE
ZONE their proximity will be detected and the user will be alerted.
II. The name of the Location of the tag (up to 32 characters)
III. The number of Minutes after which the operator will be automatically tagged out of the Safe
Zone (defaults to 10 minutes, can be set to zero if no timeout is required).
IV. Optionally, the latitude and longitude of the location of the tag. (If these fields are completed,
then a map icon will be displayed in the Reactec Analytics, a map icon will be displayed to allow
the user to view the location of the Tag on Google Maps.
6. To upload the data to the Tag, click Update
7. To program another Tag, simply remove the previously programmed Tag and place new one on the RFID
Read/Writer.
8. Select Close to exit the Software.
Note: Within the Reactec Analytics, SAFE-ZONE tags can be viewed and a sub set of attributes can be
managed. SAFE-ZONES will be automatically shown in the analytics after they are first used by a HAVwear
user.
