Why does my Recon camera have pictures where the object is too bright? The Recon camera is designed to have one of the longest flash ranges in the business, 40 feet +. If you are set up for pictures at less than 20 feet, you can use electrical tape to mask off the bottom half of the IR LEDs located in the upper left hand corner. For optimum peformance make sure the camera is 20 to 25 feet from where you expect the target to be.
