Novent Key Style locking
caps were specically designed
to protect standard Schrader
service valves on A/C units to
help prevent leakage or misuse
of refrigerant on residential and
commercial equipment.
Novent Features
• When installed, the outer casing
will rotate around the thread
insert, not allowing cap to be
removed. An integral torque limiter
prevents overtightening.
•
Novent locking caps have an
inner thread insert made of
precision machined solid brass.
• Outer shell is made of a
protective corrosion resistant
anodized aluminum shroud.
• Integral neoprene O-ring
resists oils and sealants.
• Embossed ID labeling prevents
refrigerant gas mixing.
Novent Installation
• Grasp cap, insert key and turn
clockwise until snug.
• Place female thread of the
Novent cap onto male thread of
the Schrader valve and tighten
securely by hand using the
Novent key.
• Grasp cap, rotate key counter-
clockwise and remove key.
• Reverse for removal of cap.
Choose Novent or
GasGuard style locking caps.
Both are available for 1/4” and 5/16”
Schrader valve threads.
