TDM CLI Commands
The command line interface can be used to configure the E1 capabilities via the AN-
30e console port or through a telnet session. The CLI command set is divided into
five categories:
1. General
2. Control
3. Serial Interface
4. Bundle
5. Statistics.
Subsequent sections discuss each of these commands in specific detail.
TDM Commands
The AN-30e maintains three TDM configuration images,
- Startup Configuration
- Running Configuration
- Temporary Configuration
These three distinct configuration images allow the operator to edit (temporary) and
test (running) configuration profiles in advance of cutover without losing the default
(startup) configuration settings.

configuration images as well as to save and activate a specific configuration. There
are four control commands:
copy: Copy current running configuration into the Startup configuration.
exit: Discard all changes made to the temporary configuration.
save: Copy the temporary configuration image to the running configuration
image.
start: Synchronize the temporary configuration with the running configuration.
