b) Charger
• Thechargercomprisesoftwoparts:achargingtrayandtheassociatedplug-incharger.Donotconnectanyother
mains unit/plug-in charger to the charging tray; do not use the plug-in charger for any other purposes. The two parts
of the charger (charging tray and plug-in charger) must only be operated together.
• Theplug-inchargerisconstructedpursuanttoprotectioncategoryII.
• Useonlyapropermainssocketofthepublicsupplymainsforvoltage/currentsupplyoftheplug-incharger.
• Themainssockettowhichtheplug-inchargerisconnectedmustbeeasilyaccessible.
• Donotpulltheplug-inchargerfromthemainssocketbypullingthecable.Takeitatthesideofthehousingandpull
it from the socket then.
• Thechargermustnotbecomedamporwet.Alsodonotplaceanycontainerslledwithliquid,vasesorplants,on
or next to the charger.
Iftheseliquidsgetintothecharger,thechargerwillbedestroyedandthereisaconsiderablerehazard.
The plug-in charger also poses the danger of a potentially fatal electrical shock.
If the plug-in charger has become damp or wet or damaged, do not touch it. Danger to life from electric
shock!
Firstdeactivateallsidesofthemainssockettowhichtheplug-inchargerisconnected(e.g.switchoffthe
respectivefuseorturnoutthefuse.ThendeactivatetheFIprotectionswitch).
Only then unplug the plug-in charger from the mains socket. Remove the rechargeable batteries from the
charging tray. Do not use the plug-in charger or the charger anymore, but dispose of it environmentally
compatibly.
• ThechargerisonlysuitableforchargingtheenclosedLi-Ionrechargeablebatteries.Neverchargeanyotherre-
chargeablebatterytypesornon-rechargeablebatteries.Thereisgreatdangerofreorexplosion!
• Thechargerisintendedfordryindooruseonly.Itmustnotbecomedamporwet.Avoiddirectsunirradiation,strong
heat or cold. Keep the charger away from dust and dirt.
• Formoreinformationonacceptableenvironmentalconditions,seethechapter"TechnicalData".
• Neverplacethechargingtrayofthechargeronaammablesurface(e.g.carpet,tablecloth).Alwaysuseasuit-
able,non-ammable,heatproofsurface.Nevercoverthecharger.Keepthechargerawayfromammableoreasily
inammablematerials(e.g.curtains).
• Donotplacethechargingtrayonanyvaluablefurnituresurfaceswithoutusingasuitableprotection.Otherwise,
scratches, pressure points or discolourations are possible.
• Donotusethechargerinsideavehicle.
• Keepchildrenawayfromthecharger.Childrenmayshort-circuittherechargeablebattery,whichmayleadtoreor
explosion. Danger to life!
• Avoidoperationindirectproximityofstrongmagneticorelectromagneticelds,transmitteraerialsorHFgenerators.
This can affect the control electronics.
• Neverchargetherechargeablebatteryunsupervisedinthecharger.
• Donotwearanymetalorconductivematerials,suchasjewellery(necklaces,bracelets,rings,etc.)whileyouare
working with the charger or batteries. Short-circuit poses a danger of burns and explosion.
