5. Required Accessories

Operation of the vehicle requires various accessories that are not part of the delivery of the vehicle. An experienced

RC model driver will surely already have the components described below in his possession. A newcomer to the

carburettor model car sport, however, needs to purchase the following accessories to use the vehicle delivered here:

• Rechargeablebatteriesorbatteriesforthetransmitter(fortypeandrequirednumber,seeoperatinginstructionsfor

the remote control system)

• Receiverbattery(HumppackbuildwithBECconnection5cells,6V,atleast1300mAhrecommended)

• Glow-plugstarterwithbattery

• Chargerfortransmitter,receiverand/orglowplugstarterbattery

• Glowplugwrench

• Airlteroil

• Tankbottle

• RCmodelcarfuelonmethanol/oilbase(seechapter"TechnicalData")

• Afterrunoil

product.

We also recommended the following components for best use of the vehicle, we:

• Startingbox(serveseasierstartingoftheenginebyanelectricallypoweredrubberywheelandeasiermainte-

nance/test runs)

• Mechanicalorelectricalmodelfuelpump(forllingandemptyingthetank)

• Additionalglowplugs,isrequiredwithdifferentfuelvalue(toreplaceifwornorforoperationwithdifferentRCmodel

car fuels or cold/hot ambience temperatures or different humidities)

• Tools(e.g.Socketwrenchesforwheelchange,screwdriver)

• Compressedairspray(forcleaningpurposes)

• Sparetyres(tobeabletoquicklychangerun-down/damagedtyres)

If the enclosed remote control system does not have an integrated fail safe function (see separately en-

closed operating instructions on the remote control system), we also recommend a separate fail safe that is

inserted between receiver and throttle/brake servo.

If the transmitter signal fails, the fail-safe moves the throttle/brake service, e.g. into the neutral position or

operates the brake, so that the vehicle cannot drive on uncontrolled and there will not be any accident.
