c) Resetting the Speed Controller
This function will reset all settings that were adjusted when setting up the speed controller unit to the original factory
settings (see grey marker in the table in chapter 10. b).
Proceed as follows:
• Switchoffthespeedcontroller.
• Switchonthetransmitterandmovethethrottle/brakeleverintothefullthrottlepositionforforwarddriving(pullthe
throttle/brake lever all the way towards the handle).
• Whilethethrottle/brakeleverispulledallthewaytowardsthehandle,switchonthespeedcontroller.Continueto
hold the throttle/brake lever. Do not release it!
Wait for 6 seconds. The motor will emit a long beep.
• Keepthesetupbuttonpushedfor3seconds.Themotorwillemittwolongbeeps,followedbyasinglebeep.
• Nowreleasethesetupbutton.Thenreleasethethrottle/brakeleveratthetransmitter.Thespeedcontrollerhas
restored the basic settings.
• Forreprogrammingofthespeedcontroller,observechapter10.a)and10.b).
d)StatusMessages(LED/beepviamotor)
• Intheneutralposition,noLEDatthespeedcontrollerislit.Themotorisstandingstill.
• ThegreenLEDwillashquicklywhendrivingforward.
• TheredLEDwillashquicklywhenreversing.
• TheredLEDwillremainlitwhenbraking.
• Whentheoverheatingprotectionofthevehiclehastripped(ifitisswitchedoninthesetup),thegreenLEDwillash
and the motor will emit a beep every two seconds.
• Whenthedrivebatteryisatandtheundervoltageprotectionofthevehiclehastripped(ifitisswitchedoninthe
setup),theredLEDwillashandthemotorwillemitabeepeverysecond.
• Whenthespeedcontrollerdoesnotrecogniseanyvalidsignalfromthetransmitter,theredLEDwillashandthe
motor will emit two beeps every second.
This may be different if the receiver used has its own failsafe function. Observe the separately enclosed
operating instructions for the remote control system.
• WhenbothLEDsashatthesametimeandthemotorbeeps,thespeedcontrollerhasnotproperlyrecognisedthe
neutral position.
