14. Using the camera (item no. 1497407)
• The quadrocopter comes with a microSD card for photos and video recordings.
• Photos and video recordings are saved directly to the microSD card.
• Beforeusingthequadrocopter,setupthecameraasdescribedin“13.FPVoperation(onlyitemno.1436427)”.
a) Inserting the microSD card
• Hold the camera module and insert the microSD card into the card slot on the back of the module.
The microSD card can only be inserted in one orientation. Ensure that the microSD card clicks into place; if the card
is inserted correctly, only the blue LED indicator will turn on when the camera module is switched on. If the card is
insertedincorrectlyorisnotrecognized,theredLEDindicatorwillash.
• Press the microSD card to release it from camera module.
• If the card is not recognized, format it using the FAT le format.
b) Taking photos / recording video
• Ensurethatthecameraisconnectedtothequadrocopter,andthatyouhaveinsertedtheightbattery.
• Use the controller to control the camera:
Pressthe“Photo”buttontotakeaphoto.TheLEDindicatorwillbrieyturngreen.
Pressthe“Video”buttontostartavideorecording.TheLEDindicatorwillturngreen.Pressthebuttonagaintoend
therecording.Totakeaphotoduringarecording,pressthe“Photo”button.
If headless mode is enabled, the LED indicator will not turn on when you take a photo or start a video recording.
• Please note that you will not be prompted when the memory card is full.
c) Viewing photos and videos
• Removetheightbatteryfromthequadrocopter.
• Remove the memory card from the camera module.
• Use a card reader to view your photos and videos on a computer.
Ensure that you unmount the memory card from your operating system before disconnecting the card reader to
avoid losing or corrupting your data (refer to the user guide for your operating system for more information).
EnsurethatyouusetheFATleformatwhenyouformatthemicroSDcard.
• Onceyouhavenishedviewingyourphotosandvideos,placethemicroSDcardbackintothecardslotonthe
camera module.
