b) Before Commissioning
• Makesurethatnoothermodelsareoperatedwithintherangeoftheremotecontrol.Otherwise,youmay
losecontroloftheremote-controlledmodels!For2.4GHzremotecontrolsystems,alwayscheckthat
concurrent operation of two or more remote control systems in direct proximity is possible without interfer-
ences.
• Regularlycheckthefunctionalreliabilityofyourmodelandtheremotecontrolsystem.Watchoutforany
visible damage such as defective plug connections or damaged cables. All moving parts on the model
must run smoothly but must not have any tolerance in the bearing.
• Chargethedrivebattery,whichisnecessaryforoperation,aswellastherechargeablebatterythatmay
be inserted in the remote control according the manufacturer's instructions.
• Ifbatteriesareusedasatransmitterpowersupply,makesurethattheyhavesufcientremainingcapacity
(batterychecker).Ifthebatteriesareempty,alwaysreplacethecompleteset,neverindividualcellsonly.
• Beforeoperation,alwayscontrolthetrimcontrollersettingsoftheonthetransmitterforthevarioussteer-
ing directions and, if necessary, adjust them.
• Beforeanycommissioning,checkforcorrectandtighttoftheship'spropellerandanyotherattachments
(ruddersystem,etc.),andforanydamagetothem.
• Alwaysswitchonthetransmitterrst.Thenthedrivebatteryofthemodelmaybeconnected.Otherwise,
unexpected reactions of the receiver system may occur and the ship propeller might start up unintention-
ally! Danger of accident and injury!
• Alwaysalignthetransmitteraerialsothattheaerialtippointsupwardsasverticallyaspossibleinthe
transmitter position favoured by you to operate your model. Otherwise, the transmitter may not send its
control signals as well as possible, which may cause considerable reduction of the range.
• Whentheshippropellerisrunning,makesurethatneitherobjectsnorbodypartsareintheirrotatingand
suction area.
c) During Operation
• Donottakeanyriskswhenoperatingtheproduct!Yourownsafetyandthatofyourenvironmentdepends
completely on your responsible use of the model.
• Selectasuitablebodyofwatertooperateyourmodelin.Indoubt,askthepersonresponsibleforthebody
of water whether operation of your model is permitted there.
• Theselectedbodyofwatermustbefreeofclimbers(e.g.seaweed)foroperationofyourmodel.There
alsomustbenoobjects(e.g.branches)oatinginthewater.
• Observecurrentsandotherdetrimentconditionsintheselectedbodyofwaterthatmaymakeoperation
ofthemodeldifcultorevenimpossible.Dangeroflossofthemodel!
• Improperoperationmaycauseseriousinjuryandpropertydamage!Therefore,makesurethatthereisa
sufcientsafetydistancetoanypersons,animalsorobjectsinoperation.
• Neverdriverighttowardsanyswimmingpersonsoranimals.
• Driveyourmodelonlyifyourability torespondisunrestricted.Theinuenceoftiredness,alcoholor
medication can cause incorrect responses.
