not recovered quickly in this case, it may sink due to ingressing water and therefore be lost!
 • Neverpointtheaerialofthetransmitterdirectlyatthemodel.Thissignicantlyimpairssignaltransmission
from the transmitter to the model.
 • Motor,speedcontrolleranddrivebatterymayheatupduringoperationofthemodel.Forthisreason,wait
for 5 to 10 minutes before recharging or replacing the drive battery. The drive motor must have cooled
down to ambient temperature.
 • Neverswitchofftheremotecontrol(transmitter)whilethemodelisinuse.Afteravoyage,alwaysdiscon-
nectthedrivebatteryrstorswitchoffthemodel.Onlythenshouldyouswitchofftheremotecontrol
(transmitter).
 • Incaseofadefectoramalfunction,removetheproblembeforeusingthemodelagain.
 • Neverexposeyourmodelortheremotecontroltodirectsunlightorexcessiveheatforanextendedperiod
of time.
 • Ifthereisanyinterferenceinoperationandthemodeloatsonthebodyofwaterwithoutdrive/control,you
(oranyotherperson)mustnotendangeryourselvestorecoverit.
7. Notes on Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
Although use of batteries and rechargeable batteries in everyday life is a matter of course today, there are
manydangersandproblems.InparticularinLiPo/LiIonbatterieswithhighenergycontent(ascomparedto
conventional NiMH or NiCd batteries), various provisions must be complied with to avoid danger of explo-
sionandre.
Therefore, always observe the following information and safety notes in handling of batteries and recharge-
able batteries.
 • Keepbatteries/rechargeablebatteriesoutofthereachofchildren.
 • Donotleaveanybatteries/rechargeablebatterieslyingaroundopenly.Thereisariskofbatteriesbeing
swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately!
 • Tochargethedrivebattery,removeitfromthemodelandplaceitonare-proofsurface.Keepadistance
toammableobjects.
 •Asthechargeraswellasthedrivebatteryheatupduringthechargingprocess,itisnecessarytoensure
sufcientventilation.Nevercoverthechargerorthedrivebattery!Ofcourse,thisalsoappliesforallother
chargers and rechargeable batteries.
 •Neverchargerechargeablebatteriesunattended.
 •Donotexposethechargerordrivebatterytohigh/lowtemperaturesortodirectsolarradiation.
 •Disconnectthedrivebatteryfromthechargerwhenitisfullycharged.
 • Chargersmayonlybeoperatedindryrooms.Chargesanddrivebatteriesmustnotgetdamporwet.
 • Batteries/rechargeablebatteriesmustneverbeshort-circuited,disassembledorthrownintore.Thereis
a danger of explosion!
