c) Inspecting the Ship's Propeller
Checktheship'spropelleranditscounter-nutfortighttanddamagebeforeeveryvoyage.Adamagedship'spropel-
ler must be replaced before operation. If this is not observed, the ship's propeller may come loose unintended or break
apart in operation. There is a danger of further damage to your model. The model will also no longer be controllable.
On the ship's propeller, also observe further information in the chapter 10.
Attention!
The ship propeller is very sharp-edged and may cause injury and/or property damage when handling, re-
placing and in operation!
d) Setting the Trimming Flaps
Yourmodelhastwotrimmingapsattheleftandrightofthetail(gure2,item6).Thesetrimmingapsservetoopti-
miseslidingofthemodel.Twistingofthesetscrewsslightlyadjuststhetrimmingaps.Afteradjustmentofthescrews,
they must be countered with the nuts and thus protected from independent loosening.
The model sliding properties depend on many factors. For example, the weight and installation site of the
drivebatteryand/orthepropertiesofthewatersurface(manyorfewwaves)inuencethemodelsliding
properties.Therefore,theseoperatinginstructionscantoofferspecic settinginformation.Youneedto
performoperationteststondthebestsettings.
e) Installation and Linkage of the "Turnns"
"Turnns"canbeinstalledattheleftandrightofyourmodel'stailandadjustedslightly(gure2,item7).The"turnns"
areinstalledsothatthesharpedgesofthenspointforwardinrunningdirection.Installed"turnns"improvethedriv-
ing conduct of the model in curves.
During installation or after setting, the screws must be protected from independent loosening with a drop of
threadlocker varnish.
The model's conduct in curves depend on many factors. For example, the weight and installation site of the drive bat-
teryand/orthepropertiesofthewatersurface(manyorfewwaves)inuencethemodelcurveproperties.Therefore,
theseoperatinginstructionscantoofferspecicsettinginformation.Adjustthe"turnns"tothebestsettingforcurves
by running attempts.

The"turnns"areverysharp-edgedatthefrontandmaycausesevereinjuryand/orpropertydamagewhen
handling, transporting and in operation.
f) Lubrication Nipple
Figure 2 item 8 shows a lubrication nipple. The drive shaft must be oiled with a biodegradable oil at regular intervals
here. Also observe the notes in chapter 12.
