Checkthefunction"drivingforwards".Thethrottleleverofthetransmitter(gure5,item2)permitssmoothadjustment
of the model's driving speed. The farther you push the lever to the handle, the faster must the ship's propeller turn and
the faster will the ship move forward.
If the motors only start up when the throttle lever is pushed forward, you need to activate the reverse function at the
transmitter for the control function "driving forward". For this, observe the operating instructions for the remote control
system.
The speed controller can be programmed for forward and reverse driving. This programming is not recom-
mendedforthe"Sword"model(itmaycausethesternoftheboattosubmerge,whichwillcausewaterto
enter the model).
d) LED Displays at the Speed Controller
The speed controller has a green and a red LED integrated that display the following operating conditions:
Red and green LED off: The speed controller is in the neutral position.
Red and green LED light up: The speed controller is in the full throttle position. Only the red LED will light up when
you reduce the revolutions.
GreenLEDashes:Thespeedcontrollerisoverheated(above100°C)andhasswitchedofftoprotectthemotor.
TheredLEDashes:Thespeedcontrollerisinfail-safemodeandhasswitchedoffthemotorforreasonsofsafety
because the receiver does not receive a correct transmitter signal.
During programming, the speed controller produces signal sounds via the motor. Along with the signal
sounds,theredLEDwillashtopermitprogramminginanoisyenvironment.
e) Range Test
Beforerst use,thedrivebatteryandanyrechargeablebatteriesusedinthetransmitterhavetobechargedas
instructed by the manufacturer.
Performarangetestoftheremotecontrolsystemrst.Switchontheremotecontrolandthenthereceiver.Nowcheck
the range of your remote control with a helper, by having the helper hold the operational model ship and you moving
away from the model. Control must work interference-free at least at a distance of 50 metres.
f) The First Trip
Thecontrolelectronicsareprogrammedexworksfordrivingthemodelforward.Whenmanoeuvring,ob-
serve that you do not have a reverse gear as in a car model, for example.
Avoidhecticsteeringmovements.Otherwise,themodelmaycapsizeandcannolongerbecontrolled.Ifthemodel

Operation is only permissible with the hull deck applied. For this, the hull deck must be sealed at the body with a
few strips of transparent tape before each run. Otherwise, the hull deck may be lost or splash water and water from
