8. Commissioning
a) Installing the Steering Servo
Attachtheservoholders(A)tothesteeringservo;observe
the proper arrangement (distance between the screw
holes in the chassis and in the servo holders must match
later!). Suitable screws should be included with your servo.
The servo axis must point towards the middle of the chas-
sis for this.
Putthesteeringservointotheneutralposition(middlepo-
sition)andpushtheservolever(C)ontothedriveaxleof
the steering servo.
Depending on the servo used, a different servo lever may
need to be attached, since the interlock of servo and servo
lever does not match.
Attach the servo lever with a screw on the drive axis of the steering servo, so that the servo lever points up vertically
after installation of the steering servo. A matching screw should be enclosed with your servo.
Insert the steering servo into the vehicle and screw the two servo holders with the attached steering servo into the
associatedopenings(B).Fourrecessed-headscrewsareenclosedwiththevehicle.
b) Installing the Electric Motor
Amatchingelectricmotormustbepurchasedseparately;
it is not part of the delivery.
The motor must be designed for a power supply by 2 LiPo
cells(batteryratedvoltage7.4V)orfor6NiMHcells(rated
voltage 7.2 V).
To install the motor to the motor holding plate, you need to
remove the entire rear axle unit.
Turn the 8 recessed-head screws out from the bottom of
thechassisrst;seecirclemarkinthegureontheright.
