e) Installing the Wheels
The delivery includes differently wide wheel tappet nuts
(A) and (B). One of the two versions is already pre-in-
stalled on the vehicle.
Depending on the rim used or the width of the car body,
it may be required to replace the pre-installed wheel tap-
pet nuts.
Removethewheelnut(C)fromthewheelaxle(4)rstwith
a suitable socket wrench.
Then remove the wheel tappet nut and push on the re-
spective other one.
Ensurethatthetappetpin(E)isexactlyinthecentreofthe
wheelaxle(D)andinsertedintotherespectivegrooveof
thewheeltappetnut(A)or(B).
Ifthetappetpin(E)ismissing,notorquecanbetransferredfromthemotortothewheelandthewheelwillspinfreely.
Screwthewheelontothewheelaxlewiththewheelnut(C)removedatrst.However,donotapplyanyforcefor
screwing on. This will require greater force to turn the wheel, which may damage the drive.
f) Preparing the Car Body
Depending on the car body used, drill the corresponding holes for the four car body holders. You may also need to
make a hole for the aerial tube of the receiver aerial.
These holes can be made in the car body with a special car body drill or otherwise with a conventional spiral drill.
Put on the car body and adjust the height of the support plates at the car body holders so that the car body is in the
right height and the wheels can turn freely.
The car body is fastened on the car body holders with the corresponding clips.
g) Inserting Batteries / Rechargeable Batteries into the Transmitter
If you have not done so yet, insert batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries into your transmitter. Observe the
operating instructions for the remote control system used by you.
h) Taking the Transmitter into Operation
Switch on the transmitter and put the trimming for steering and driving functions into the centre positions.
Ifthetransmitterhasadualratefunction,deactivateitorsetittounlimitedsteeringdeection.Pleasealsonotethe
operating instructions of the remote control.
