d) Range Test
Beforerst use, the drive batteryandanyrechargeablebatteriesusedinthetransmitterhave to be chargedas
instructed by the manufacturer.
Perform a range test of the remote control system. Switch on the remote control and then the receiver. Now check the
range of your remote control with a helper, by having the helper hold the operational model ship and you moving away
from the model. Control must work interference-free at least at a distance of 50 metres. Also observe the operating
instructions of the remote control.
Attention!
The turning ship's propeller poses a danger of severe injury! The helper must hold the model ship so that the
ship's propeller (and also the rudder) can move freely.
e) The First Trip
The control electronics are programmed ex works for driving the model forward. When manoeuvring, ob-
serve that you do not have a reverse gear as in a car model, for example.
Operation is only permissible with the hull deck applied. For this, the hull deck must be attached to the body on all
sides with a few strips of transparent tape before each run. Otherwise, splashing water may enter the boat and destroy
the remote control and drive parts. Loss of guarantee/warranty!
The model's speed controller has an undervoltage recognition for the drive battery integrated for safety-technical
reasons.Ifthemotorpowerisreducedtopreventharmfuldeepdischargeofthedrivebattery,themodelwouldoat,
be no longer controllable, and may be lost. Therefore, interrupt operation in time - but no later than after 4 to 6 minutes
(depending on the operating style and battery used) - to reach the shore under the model's own power and to avoid
deep discharge of the drive battery.
Trips under detriment conditions such as strong wind and strong waves are not permissible and may cause loss of
the model.
If you notice any unusual noise or sudden rotating or model speed loss during operation, terminate operation at
onceandndthereason.Seaweedorsomethingsimilarmayhavebecometangledintheship'spropeller,which
may impair or render the drive near ineffective. If operation is continued, this destroys drive components. Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Check the water cooling function before any voyage. For this, you may blow air into the hose on the water cooling
inlet(seegure3,item4),forexample.Theair(orwaterindrivingoperation)mustcomeoutoftheoutletinstalledin

Never drive with a water cooling that is clogged or non-functional because of bent hoses. Also observe the rudder
slot(gure3,item5).Thisslotisthewaterinletofthewatercooling.Forthewatercoolingsystemtowork,itmustbe
free of contamination at all times. The motor may otherwise overheat and be damaged. Loss of guarantee/warranty!

on the left side of the hull and straighten the model ship again. The water will run off again during operation.
Carefully pull the throttle lever at the transmitter towards the handle. The model starts to drive forward.
Turning the remote control steering wheel to the left or right will cause your model to turn in the respective direction.
