b) Programming the Speed Controller
• Switchonthetransmitter.Pullthethrottleleverintothefullthrottlepositionandholditthere.
• Connectthedrivebatterytothespeedcontroller(thethrottleleveratthetransmitterisstillinthefullthrottleposition).
 First,therearetwoshortsignalsounds,followedbyashortmelody(signalsounds)afterveseconds.Thespeed
controller is now in the programming mode for function selection.
The throttle lever must still be in the full throttle position. Do not release the throttle lever!
• Fourdifferentfunctionscanbeprogrammed.Thesefunctionsarerepeatedinanendlessloop.
 Therstsettingoptionisprovidedforselectionwithonebeep.Thissignalisissuedonce.Thespeedcontroller
switches to the second setting option after approx. three seconds and signals this by a double signal sound, etc., up
to the fourth setting option (four signal sounds). This is followed by a short melody (signal sounds) and then a return
totherstfunction.
The setting options available can be taken from the table in chapter 11. a).
• Whenthefunctionthatyouwanttoprogrammeissignalledacoustically,movethethrottleleveratyourtransmitter
to the neutral position (motor off). The speed controller now activates the setting of the selected function (1 - 4).
• Thereareuptoeightsettingoptionsforeachfunction(seetableinchapter11.a).
These setting options are displayed again at a slightly higher tone now.
Every setting is reported acoustically by an assigned signal sequence (number of sounds); all available settings are
reported by signal in sequence (also an endless loop). The number of sound signals for each change is indicated in
the table in chapter 11. a).
• Whenthedesiredsettingissignalledbythesignalsound(e.g.function3"Undervoltagerecognition",3.0V/cell,
3 brief signals), you need to put the throttle lever into the full throttle position for saving this setting (pull the throttle
lever all the way to the handle).
 Thethrottlelevermustbekeptinthispositionuntilthespeedcontrollerconrmssuccessfulprogrammingbya
melody (signal sounds).
If you want to make additional settings, continue to keep the throttle lever in the full throttle position. This is followed
by signalling of the following programme item (selection of the functions 1 - 4).
For re-programming, move the throttle lever into the neutral position at the desired function (motor off).
• Ifyouwanttocancel/terminateprogramming,putthethrottleleverintotheminimumposition(totheveryfront)or
the neutral position.
 Afterapprox.twoseconds,thesignalisgivenbyashortmelodywithanallongsignal.
Now the speed controller can be used with the newly programmed settings. If the throttle lever is still in the full throt-
tle position, programming can also be ended by disconnecting the rechargeable battery from the speed controller.
