c) Setting the Shock Absorbers

A knurled wheel (A) permits adjustment of the spring pre-tension.
Professional drivers may install the shock absorbers at the dampener bridge (B) and at the lower transverse link (C)
indifferentpositionstoadjusttheconductoftheshockabsorberswhendeectinginandout.
Always set the shock absorbers for one axle evenly (at the left and right wheels of the front or rear axle). Otherwise,
drivingbehaviourwillbeinuencednegatively.
Professionaldriversmayalsousespringswithadifferentstiffnessordamperoilofadifferentviscosityforllingthe
shockabsorbers.Modelvehiclebeginners,however,willnotndanydifferenceinthedrivingbehaviourhere.
d) Mechanical Lowering
Forloweringthechassis,itisalsopossibletoreducethe
rebound clearance mechanically.
There is a small adjustable grub screw in each of the 4
transverselinks;seecircleinthegureontheright.
When the grub screw is turned in further, the transverse
linkcannotextendasfaranymore;thislowersthechassis.
To keep the chassis from touching down, the shock ab-
sorbers should be set accordingly harder when lowering.
