An improperly attached or overloaded Lighted Hitch Step can break or DETACH. It may cause potential serious injury, property
damage or death.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR DEATH:
Know how to safely install, use and maintain Lighted Hitch Step
READ and FOLLOW all warnings when using the Lighted Hitch Step
ALWAYS take your time to assess your situation and plan your load/unload procedures carefully.
CHECK if Lighted Hitch Step is properly installed and all hardware are securely tightened
Lighted Hitch Step may have to be removed for turns tighter than 90º or if trailer arm has any attachments or modifications that
are positioned below the coupler.
To reduce risk of falling:
NEVER stand on the Lighted Hitch Step when vehicle is in motion
ALWAYS step on the complete treaded surface with full body weight
ALWAYS keep treaded surface clean of elements before each use
ALWAYS use vehicle body structure for an additional support and balance when stepping up or down
NEVER exceed the Lighted Hitch Step load capacity:
DO NOT exceed your Lighted Hitch Step rated load capacity (you + load)
Max = 500 lb. / 226 kg.
AVOID shock loads:
DO NOT jump on the Lighted Hitch Step.
INSPECT for signs of wear, rust and damage BEFORE each use
DO NOT use if damaged.
CHECK the Lighted Hitch Step is properly attached to the Vehicle electrical system:
DO NOT operate the Lighted Hitch Step if your tow vehicle has wiring problems or faulty wiring harness connections.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
Max. Right Turn, Left Turn, Stop, & Tail Light Circuits: (7.5 amps) Overloading circuit can cause fires

ALWAYS:
Park vehicles on level ground for installation
Wear protective eyewear and gloves during installation
DO NOT submerge the Lighted Hitch Step into water. It may cause damage to the circuitry and void the warranty.
