Understanding the Customer’s Habitat:
REL’s designers began with the understanding that more and more people are enjoying music, but in less
tradional consumpon formats. Today’s sophiscated consumer is as likely to enjoy music from a variety of
sources that simply did not exist a decade ago. From streaming high resoluon music les stored on a NAS
drive, to listening to the world’s music oerings -via internet radio, a variety of internet-based streaming
audio, as well as compact disc and analog sources such as vinyl records, consumers expect more funconality
and exibility from their music reproducon systems than at any me in history. Similarly, when they watch
any video entertainment, the same plethora of choices for how to obtain source material applies.
All these format delivery modes have one thing in common. Every source, whether music or video-based
benets from the inclusion of a REL sub bass system. Most of these new digital delivery formats suer from
