Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, exercising, and bathing for 30 minutes before taking a measurement. Rest for at least 15 minutes before taking the measurement. 2. Stress raises blood pressure. Avoid taking measurements during stressful times. 3. Measurements should be taken in a quiet place. 4. Remove tight-fitting clothing from your arm. 5.

An irregular heartbeat rhythm is defined as a rhythm that is more than 25% slower or 25% faster from the average rhythm detected while the monitor is measuring the systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Install 4 “AA” size batteries so the + (positive) and - (negative) polarities match the polarities of the battery compartment as indicated. 3. Replace the battery cover.

Replace with four new batteries at the same time. Long-life alkaline batteries are recommended. WARNING If battery fluid should get in your eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of clean water. Contact a physician immediately.

For connection to a power supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power outlet. The power unit (AC Adapter) is intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical or floor mount position. NOTES: • Use only the authorized AC Adapter that came with this monitor.

Plug the AC Adapter into a 120V AC outlet (60 cycles). Housing 2 1 Cord To disconnect the AC Adapter Hold and pull the Housing to remove the AC Adapter from the electrical outlet. Do not remove by pulling the cord. Remove the AC Adapter plug from the monitor.

If the date and time are not set correctly, the measurement values stored in the memory and the average values may not be correct. 1. Apply the cuff to your left upper arm so the blue strip is on the inside of your arm and aligned with your middle finger. The air tube runs down the inside of your arm. The bottom of the cuff should be approximately 1/2" above your elbow. Blue Strip 1/2 inch (1 - 2 cm) Air Tube 6. Wrap the cuff firmly in place around your arm using the cloth strip.

Apply the cuff to your right upper arm so the thumb grip is centered on the inside of your inner arm. The bottom of the cuff should be approximately 1/2'' above your elbow. Thumb Grip NOTE: Be careful not to rest your arm on the air tube. This will restrict the flow of air to the cuff.

USING THE USER ID 1. Press the On/Off Start button. All symbols appear on the display. The User ID symbol with the current time will appear. NOTES: • The User ID last used will appear first. • The default setting is A. 2. Press the User ID button to select your ID (A or B).

Place your left arm on a table so the cuff is level with your heart. 2. Press the On/Off Start button. All symbols appear on the display. The cuff starts to inflate automatically. As the cuff inflates, the monitor automatically determines your ideal inflation level. This monitor detects your blood pressure and pulse rate during inflation.

The Heartbeat Symbol ( ) flashes at every heartbeat. 4. When the measurement is complete, the arm cuff completely deflates. Your blood pressure and pulse rate are displayed. 5. Press the On/Off Start button to turn the monitor off. NOTE: The monitor will automatically turn off after five minutes.

If your systolic pressure is known to be more than 220 mmHg, press and hold the On/Off Start button until the monitor inflates 30 to 40 mmHg higher than your expected systolic pressure. NOTES: • Do not apply more pressure than necessary. • The monitor will not inflate above 299 mmHg.

The monitor automatically stores up to 84 sets of measurement values (blood pressure and pulse rate) for each user (A and B). When 84 sets of measurement values are stored, the oldest record is deleted to save the most recent values.

Make sure the AC adapter is placed under the main unit so that it does not damage the display. Avoid kinking or sharply bending the AC Adapter cord. Do not forcefully bend the arm cuff or air tube. Do not fold tightly.

Blood pressure varies constantly. Many factors including stress, time of day, and how you wrap the cuff, may affect your blood pressure.

Si sabe que su presión sistólica es mayor que 220 mmHg, presione y mantenga presionado el botón On/Off Start (Encendido/Apagado/Inicio) hasta que el monitor se infle de 30 a 40 mmHg más que su presión sistólica esperada.

El monitor guarda automáticamente hasta 84 conjuntos de valores de medición (presión arterial y pulso) para cada usuario (A y B). Una vez almacenados 84 valores de medición en la memoria, el registro más antiguo se borrará para guardar los valores de medición más recientes.
