Sending an Emergency Call
If programmed, the Orange button on the
front panel is used to send an emergency
call on the programmed Emergency
channel. The emergency channel must be
programmed to transmit in digital mode.
Press and hold the button to initiate an
Emergency Call.
Once the call is activated, the emergency
message is transmitted automatically every
ten seconds. Each push-to-talk will also
transmit the emergency information along
with voice trafc.
Press and hold the button to cancel the
Emergency Call.
Receiving an Emergency Call
When the radio receives an Emergency Call,
an alert tone will be emitted. "EMERGENCY"
and the incoming P25 ID number or label will
be displayed during the reception.
