Preface Thank you for purchasing this user system interface cable (HS36902ECS61H) for the Renesas’ original microcomputer H8/36912, H8/36902 group. The HS36902ECS61H is a user system interface cable that connects an H8/36912, H8/36902 group E6000 emulator (HS3664EPI61H or HS3664EPI62H; hereinafter referred to as the emulator) to the IC socket for a DP-32S package for the H8/36912, H8/36902 group MCU on the user system.

Section 1 Configuration CAUTION Use an IC83-3204-GS4 socket (manufactured by YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS Co., Ltd.) for the DP-32S package IC socket on the user system. Figure 1 shows the configuration of the HS36902ECS61H user system interface cable for the DP-32S package. Section 3 Verifying Operation 1. Turn on the emulator according to the procedures described in the H8/3664 E6000 Emulator User’s Manual (HS3664EPI61HE-U2 or HS3664EPI62HE-U2). 2. Verify the user system interface cable connections by accessing ports and checking the bus states of the pins. If an error is detected, recheck the soldered IC socket and the location of pin 1. 3.

Section 4 Notice 1. Make sure that pin 1 on the user system IC socket is correctly aligned with pin 1 on the cable head before inserting the cable head into the user system IC socket. 2. The dimensions of the recommended mount pad for the user system IC socket are different from those of the MCU. 3. This user system interface cable is specifically designed for the HS3664EPI61H or HS3664EPI62H emulator. Do not use this cable with any other emulator station. 4.
7. SW1 and SW2 are used to switch OSC2 or PC1 and OSC1 or PC0. Turn SW1 and SW2 to the OSC1 and OSC2 sides, respectively, when they are used as OSC1 and OSC2. Turn SW1 and SW2 to the PC0 and PC1 sides, respectively, when they are used as PC0 and PC1. At shipment, SW1 and SW2 are turned to the OSC1 and OSC2 sides. The emulator does not support the internal RC-oscillation clock function.
