User manual

Protect the cable from heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on the cable,
do not drive over it (e.g. with a wheelbarrow, bicycle, car). Never bend the cables
and do not place objects on them.
Ensure that connection for the electric plug is located in an area protected against
flooding, otherwise, there is a lethal danger of an electric shock!
c) Operation
Check the product before each use for damages, e.g. of the housing, the gaskets and
the power cord/plug.
If you find any damage, you must not use the product. Do not attempt to repair a
damaged mains cable! There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
If the product is already connected to the mains, switch off the mains at the respec-
tive socket (e.g. by turning off the circuit breaker). Furthermore, turn off the earth
leakage circuit breaker to disconnect all the poles of the socket from the mains volt-
age.
Then you can remove the power cable plug of the fountain pump from the socket.
Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
Repairs should be carried out by a specialist workshop!
If you have reasons to assume that safe use is no longer possible, put the fountain
pump out of operation and remove the power cable plug from the mains socket to
secure it against inadvertent operation. It must be presumed that safe operation is
no longer possible, if:
- the pump and the connecting lines show visible damages
- the pump does not operate any longer,
- the pump was transported or stored under unfavorable conditions.
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport.
The product is designed for the mains voltage 230 V/AC, 50 Hz of the public supply
mains. Never use the product with a different voltage.
Always unplug the device when not in use, and before repairs, maintenance or
cleaning.
Never remove the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always pull the
plug from the mains socket by gripping the lateral surfaces.
Never touch the plug when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-threatening
electric shock!
Carry the product using the carrying handle; never carry it by the power cord.
Do not block the discharge unit of the fountain pump if it is in operation.
The product is not protected against longer dry runs (> 2 Minutes).
The pumped fluid should be as clean as possible. Impurities (e.g. sand, earth, leaves
etc.) cause both higher wear thus reducing the life span of the fountain pump and the
possibility of mechanical clogging of the drive rotor and blockage of all intake ports.
Besides, light soiling occlude the orifices of the nose pieces supplied with the pump.
Therefore, regular functional control of the fountain pump is absolutely essential.
The product is not suitable for the conveyance of drinking water.
Nobody is allowed to stay in the pumped fluid during the pump operation.
Consequential damages caused by malfunction or fault of the fountain pump, should
be prevented by relevant measures (e.g. by use of water level gauge, sensors, alarm
devices and suchlike).
When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g., during transport), con-
densate may form. Thus a danger to life through electric shock may occur when the
cable is plugged to the mains!
This is why always let the product get to room temperature before you use it or con-
nect it to the mains voltage. This may take several hours.
The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings
for children.

Operating instructions
Fountain pump, stainless steel
Item no. 1275340
Intended use
The fountain pump is designed for private use e.g. in hobby gardening. The product is not intended
for irrigation or irrigation systems in the industry, production or public sectors (e.g. garden com-
plexes).
Through various interchangeable nosepieces, the water delivered by the fountain pump is sprayed
out in an optically appealing manner.
As a pumped fluid, only clear water is acceptable (e.g. in a pond and suchlike). Never use other
liquids (e.g. salt water, gasoline, heating oil or foodstuffs). The temperature of the pumped fluid
shall not exceed +35 °C.
Read these operating instructions completely and thoroughly, as they contain a lot of important
information about operation and handling. Observe all safety instructions!
Any other use, than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and involves a risk
for short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper
use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will
be deemed void!
Dear customer, Not only are the following safety notes and hazard warnings
intended to protect the device, they are also intended to protect your health. Please
read the following points carefully:
a) General
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons (CE). Moreover, this will invalidate the warranty!
The product is not a toy. Children are not aware of the potential dangers involved
when using electrical devices.
The product corresponds to protection class IPX8.
The device is designed according to safety class I. Only a properly grounded socket
(230 V/AC, 50 Hz) of the public supply mains may be used as a voltage source.
The power socket that will be used to operate the product must be easily accessible.
Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings
for children.
Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
b) Installation site and connection
Assemble and operate the product in a way that keeps it out of reach of children.
The use of the product in the proximity of ponds, wells, swimming pools, springs etc.
is not permitted unless the product is operated via a ground fault circuit interrupter
(circuit breaker FI, <=30 mA).
In Austria, the product is not permitted to be installed and operated in the proximity
of swimming pools and ponds unless a safety isolating transformer controlled by
the Austrian Electro-technical Association is additionally connected upstream to the
ground fault circuit interrupter (circuit breaker RCD, <=30 mA).
In the place of installation the ambient temperature must not be around or under
the freezing point (<0 °C). This causes the water to freeze in the fountain pump; the
higher volume of ice destroys the fountain pump. In winter, store the product in a dry
place above freezing point.
If you use an extension cable or it is necessary to lay cables to the fountain pump,
make sure that the cable cross section is not smaller than that of the rubber hose
lines with short symbol H05RN-F as per DIN VDE0620.
Use only extension cables with protected contacts designed for outdoor applica-
tions.
