11. Troubleshooting
With this DJ mixer, you purchased a product built to the state of the art
and operationally safe.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe how to eliminate possible errors here:
Always observe the safety information!
Device does not work after the POWER switch (10) was switched on
The mains unit is not plugged into the socket correctly > Plug in mains unit correctly.
The mains outlet is not supplied with current > Check mains socket.
The mixer is turned on but no sound can be heard
No input signal > Check source of signal.
Input level is set incorrectly > Set level with the respective channel fader as described.
No signal can be heard although the level indicator (9) indicates a signal
• Downstream device (amplifier) not switched on or set incorrectly > Check downstream device, select
correct input at amplifier, increase volume.
Mixer output is not or incorrectly connected > Connect output as described above.
A humming sound can be heard
The record-player ground lines are not connected to terminal clamp GND (25) > Connect the record
player ground cables to the terminal clamp GND (25).
A buzz loop arises between the connected devices > Connect signal earth by special isolated cables.
A channel does not work
Connection cable is loose > Check connections between the devices.
The balance control on the amplifier is misadjusted > Adjust balance control at the amplifier.
The sound is distorted
• The volume control is set incorrectly or the connected amplifier is overmodulated > Set volume as de-
scribed.
The connected device does not adhere to the required specifications for a cinch connection or does not
have the appropriate connections > Use a device with a suitable connection.
Channel fader (3, 5 or 7) incorrectly set, mixer is overmodulated > Set volume as described.
Repairs other than those described above must only be carried out by an authorised specialist.
