8. Final installation of the metal detector

Install the search probe (14) with the attachment screw (13) at the lower guide tube (12). Only tighten
the screw without tools until the search probe can be adjusted at any angle to the lower guide tube, and
remains in that position.
Connect the lower guide tube (12) to the middle guide tube (10). For this, push the lower guide tube into
the sleeve (11), shorten the tube for your needs and fasten the lower guide tube by turning the sleeve
counter-clockwise.
Set the lower guide tube (12) so that you can stand upright with the metal detec-
tor. The search probe should be approx. 3 to 5 cm above the ground and your arm
should be resting on it relaxedly (see figure 2).
Install the operating unit (9) on the intended holder (7) and screw it onto the holder with the attachment
screw (8).
Coil the cable of the searching probe 3-4 times loosely around the guide tube to the operating unit. Plug
in the plug of the search probe into the socket on the rear of the operating unit.
