k) Using the cassette player
• Press the TAPE button (23) to switch to cassette mode. "TAPE" will appear on the LCD display.
• Insert an audio cassette tape into the cassette drawer (7). Ensure that you insert the
cassette tape in the correct orientation.
• The cassette button will pop out and playback will begin automatically.
• Press the cassette button half way to fast-forward.
• To stop fast-forwarding and resume playback, press the cassette button slightly.
• Playback will stop automatically at the end of the cassette tape.
• Press the cassette button as far as it will go to stop playback and eject the cassette
tape.
• Alwaysremovethecassettetapefromthecassettedrawerwhenplaybackhasnished
to avoid damaging the magnetic tape.
• To rewind the cassette tape, remove it from the cassette drawer and insert it the other
way round.
l) PlayingMP3lesonaUSBmemorystick
Do not attempt to connect an MP3 player with non-rechargeable batteries to the USB port (4). The
power provided by the USB port (4) may charge the batteries in the MP3 player and cause them to
overheat or explode.
Only connect USB memory sticks to the USBport(4).IfyouwanttoplayaudiolesonanMP3player
through the turntable speaker, connect the audio output on the MP3 player to the AUX IN socket (5).
TheUSBportsupportsUSBmemorystickswithacapacityofupto32GB.BothMP3andWMAlesare
supported.
ThememorystickmustbeformattedusingtheFATlesystem.
ThespecicationsandfeaturesofdeviceswithUSBportscanvarysignicantly.Asaresult,somememory
sticks may not be recognized by the turntable, or some features may be unavailable. In addition, some MP3
leswithnon-standardencodingformatsmaynotbesupported.Thisdoesnotindicatethattheturntableis
faulty.
If the turntable does not recognize the storage device, remove the storage device from the USB port, and
then plug it back in.
