f) Bluetooth
®
mode
When connecting your Bluetooth
®
-activated device to the Soundbar for the rst time, it is necessary to
pair both devices. After pairing, the Soundbar will recognize the Bluetooth
®
device automatically once
you switch on the Bluetooth
®
mode. Please note though, that establishing the connection might take
several seconds. If the connection cannot be established within 2 minutes, the Soundbar will switch to the
previously connected audio source.
The transmission range is approx. 8 m in line of sight. Any objects between Bluetooth
®
devices
can reduce the transmission range.
Check the specications of your Bluetooth
®
device before pairing. We cannot guarantee
compatibility with all devices. Some mobile devices require a password for pairing. Enter “0000”
in such a case.
If the Bluetooth
®
signal is weak, the connection with the Soundbar might get disconnected. Once
the signal is strong again, the connection will be re-established automatically.
Establish the Bluetooth
®
connection as followed:
• Turn on the Soundbar using the on/o switch . Press the SOURCE button (2) repeatedly or the
BT button (16) to activate the Bluetooth
®
mode. The Bluetooth
®
indicator (9) lights up blue.
• Press and hold the ►II / PAIR (3, 20) button for approx. 3 seconds. The Soundbar activates the pairing
mode and emits “Pairing” as an acoustic conrmation message. The Bluetooth
®
indicator ashes
quickly.
• Activate Bluetooth
®
on your mobile device (e.g. smartphone) and start searching for Bluetooth
®
devices.
The Soundbar will appear on the display of your mobile device indicated by the name “renkforce
TB230WW”. Select “renkforce TB230WW” for pairing. The Soundbar emits “Paired” as an acoustic
conrmation message and the Bluetooth
®
indicator lights up steadily.
• Start playback on your mobile device.
Select one of the following options to disconnect Bluetooth
®
:
• Deactivate Bluetooth
®
on your mobile device. The Soundbar emits the acoustic message “Disconnected”.
• Switch the soundbar to another audio source (e.g. AUX 1).
• Press and hold the ►II / PAIR button for approx. 3 seconds. The Soundbar emits the acoustic message
“Pairing”.
Music playback via Bluetooth
®
device
The Soundbar supports the following proles in Bluetooth
®
mode:
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Prole) – audio playback
AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Prole) – music control via remote control of the Soundbar and
audio playback
If your mobile device supports AVRCP, you may use the following buttons on the remote control for music
control:
►II / PAIR button – playback, pause
I ◄◄ / ►►I buttons – skip to previous/next song
