Start-up
The FM transmitter offers three different options to play back MP3 files; however,
these cannot be used simultaneously.
• SD/MMC slot for memory card (capacity max. 2GB; SDHC is not possible)
• USB stick (due to the high power consumption, USB sticks with internal hard disk
cannot be used!)
• Audio input with LINE level (3.5 mm stereo jack socket).
Before the FM transmitter is inserted into a cigarette lighter socket, you first
have to insert an SD/MMC memory card or a USB stick or connect an audio
cable to the FM transmitter.
Otherwise there is the risk that the FM transmitter or the SD/MMC card, the
USB stick or the connected audio device are damaged.
Always use one of the three playback options only.
Do not use any force when inserting an SD/MMC card or a USB stick.
After you have e.g. inserted a USB stick, pull out the (cold) cigarette lighter and keep
it in a safe place in your vehicle.
Check beforehand whether the cigarette lighter has cooled down complete-
ly, otherwise there is the risk of burns or fire!
Insert the FM transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket (12 V) of your vehicle.
The display shows a welcome message and activates the background illumination.

With the two buttons (3) at the bottom, the frequency of the FM transmitter can be set,
which is shown in the display.
Please observe that this frequency is not occupied on the car radio (e.g. by
a radio transmitter).
Afterwards you can search for the FM transmitter via the search on the car radio.
Alternatively, you may have to set one of the above frequencies on the car radio on
which no radio station can be heard. Then select the frequency on the FM transmitter.
The FM transmitter saves the last set frequency even if it is disconnected
in the meantime or of the ignition of the vehicle and therefore the cigarette
lighter socket is turned off.
The FM transmitter has the following functions when using an SD/MMC card or a
USB stick:
• Start the playback from SD/MMC memory cards or USB sticks with the button
“
/
”(4); press the button “
/
” once again for the pause function.
• If the button “
/
” is held down for a longer period of time, the FM transmitter
switches among the repetition of the complete folder (“F” above on the display), the
current music file (“s” above on the display) all music file (“A” above on the display)
or random play (“R” above on the display) respectively.
• With a brief press of the button “
” (2), you access the previous music file, with
the button “
” (5) the next music file (press this several times if applicable until
the desired music file is played back). The name of the music file is displayed at the
bottom of the display.
• If you press the button “
” (2) or “ ” (5) longer, the volume is increased or
decreased.
If you use the LINE input, the buttons 2, 4, and 5 are without function. The de-
vice must be controlled via the connected audio device (e.g. an MP3 player).
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require maintenance! Clean the FM transmitter with a dry, clean
and soft cloth. Do not press too hard on the display, this may cause scratch marks or
lead to a failure of the display.
