Installation
First, choose a suitable mounting location for the dummy camera. The mounting location should
be in an area where the solar cell is exposed to the sun for a few hours during the day, otherwise
the rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged suffi ciently.
Mark the mounting position on the wall through the mounting holes of the wall bracket.
Screw the dummy camera tightly to the wall. Depending on the wall, use screws and plugs that
are suitable for the surface.
Please ensure that no cables or wires are damaged when drilling/screwing the mount
into position.
A rubber hose simulates the appearance of a connecting cable. Attach it to the corresponding
opening in the wall bracket (if required, clamp it between wall bracket and wall while screwing
the wall bracket to the wall).
Adjust the alignment and inclination of the dummy camera as desired, so that it points at the
area to be monitored. Prior to the adjustment, unfasten the corresponding locating screw; do
not apply any force.
Operation
The integrated solar cell charges the two rechargeable batteries with suffi cient solar irradiation.
A red LED at the front of the camera fl ashes when the rechargeable batteries are suffi ciently
charged. This LED simulates an activated surveillance camera. If the rechargeable batteries are
not suffi ciently charged, the ashing of the LED is only very low, or the LED does not flash at all.
Maintenance and cleaning
Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by qualifi ed personnel or a specialist repair shop.
The product contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the housing, this could
result in scratch marks.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these can damage the housing or even impair functionality.
Dust on the solar module reduces the charging current. For this purpose, you should clean the
surface of the solar module every now and then (approx. once a year).
Disposal
a) Product
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regula-
tions.
Remove any rechargeable batteries inserted and dispose of them separately from the
product.

teries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to in-
dicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant
heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the
battery/rechargeable battery, e.g. underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to the offi cial collection
points in your community, in our stores, or any place where batteries or rechargeable batteries
are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
