User manual

The device is automatically synchronized to the DCF time every day.
This is sucient to keep the time deviation to within one second per
day.
The DCF signal is sent by a transmitter in Mainingen (near Frankfurt,
Germany). The signal range is up to 1500 km and can even reach 2000
km in ideal reception conditions. The DCF signal contains the exact
time (time deviation is theoretically within one second every one million
years!), the date and other information. This means that you do not
need to carry out the cumbersome task of adjusting the clock manually
for summer and winter time.
Manual DCF search
To search for the DCF signal manually (e.g. if you have changed the position of the alarm
clock), press and hold the WAVE button (10) for approx. 3 seconds.
The alarm clock will then start to search for a signal. Wait until the current time is displayed,
as described above. The radio tower symbol is displayed.
To abort the search for a DCF signal, hold down the WAVE button again for approx. 3 seconds.
Settings
The time/date setting process or the alarm setting process will be terminated if you do
not press a button for approx. 30 seconds. The alarm clock then reverts to the normal
display mode.
Hold down the +/- button (8, 9) to move through the numbers more quickly.
a) Time and date setting
You only need to set the time and date manually if you are using the alarm clock
outside the DCF reception area, if the desired time zone is not the German time zone or
if DCF reception is impaired due to the surroundings.
Hold down the MODE button (6) for 2 seconds to enter the settings mode.
Set the ashing values on the screen using the + (8) and the - (9) button. Press the MODE button

b) Setting the alarm time
You can set two alarm times - "A1" and "A2". Hold down the ALARM button (7) for 2 seconds to

to conrm the setting.
You can set the values in the following order: Hour (A1=alarm 1) -> minute (A1) -> hour (A2=alarm
2) -> minute (A2).

Press the ALARM button (7) once to display the alarm time for the "A1" alarm. Press the + button
(8) to enable / disable the alarm. The bell symbol is displayed on the screen if the alarm has
been enabled.
Press the ALARM button twice to display the alarm time for the "A2" alarm. Press the + button
to activate / deactivate the alarm. The bell symbol is displayed on the screen if the alarm
has been enabled.
Press the ALARM button again to display the alarm times on the screen. The alarms are
displayed in the following order: Alarm time "A1" -> alarm time "A2" -> normal display (time).

The alarm goes o when the preset alarm time is reached and the bell symbol ashes. The alarm
can be switched o for approx. 5 minutes by briey pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4). The
"SNZ 1" or "SNZ 2" symbol ashes on the screen. The alarm goes o again after approx. 5 minutes
(snooze function). Press any button to end the snooze function.
