Intended use
This product is intended for writing to and reading compatible memory cards via
computer with type C USB port.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this
product. If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the
product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short
circuiting,re,electricshocketc.Readtheinstructionscarefullyandkeepthemfor
future reference. Make this product available to third parties only together with its
operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in these operating instructions, we assume no liability
for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The product is not a toy. Keep away from children.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity,moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
• It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g.
in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Consult a professional if you require assistance with product operation, safety or
connection.
• Maintenance work, adjustments and repairs may be carried out only by a
professional or at a specialist workshop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Operation
• Installation of a driver is not necessary.
• Switch on your computer and wait until the operating system has fully started.
• Connect the type C USB plug to an empty type C USB port on your computer.
• Determine the type of your card and then select the proper plug-in slot according to
the markings on the card reader. Align the pins of the card with the pins of the slot
and then insert the memory card.
• The card reader or the card could get damaged if the card is improperly aligned
and inserted.
• Observe the following table when using more than one card at the same time:

A maximum of 2 cards can be read/recorded simultaneously.
SD/Micro SD Either SD or Micro SD card, but not both card types at the
same time.
SD and MS SD and MS cards can be used simultaneously.
Micro SD and MS Micro SD and MS cards can be used simultaneously.
• Your computer shows a new drive/drives. Follow the operating instructions of your
operating system in order to read or write to this/these card(s).
• For older operating systems: Some memory card formats (such as exFAT) might require
the installation of a system patch in order for the card reader to recognize the memory
card. Refer to the operating instructions and the latest update information of your
operating system.
• Never disconnect the product or remove the card during data transmission. There is
a risk of loosing or corrupting data.
• Beforeremovingamemorycard,disconnectitfromthedevicerstinordertoavoid
data loss, data corruption or product damage. Observe the operating instructions of
your operating system.

Cleaning
• Remove the product from the computer before cleaning.
• Never submerge the product in water.

• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
