b) Basic Functions
Switching on/off
• To turn standby on or off, press the button (1) on the unit or the remote control.
The display (5) shows the date and time in standby mode. In addition, the standby indicator (3) will light up.
• To switch the power supply of the device on or off, press the ON/OFF switch (16) on the back of the device.
ON > Device is supplied with power
OFF > Device is not supplied with power (e.g. to save energy)
When the power is switched off, energy is saved, but the settings of the network, favourite memory, etc. are
retained. However, an alarm function is not possible when the power supply is switched off.
General Operation
• Turning the TUNE/SELECT knob (9) will adjust the volume of the headset and select functions or change settings/
values in the menu.
• IfyoupushtherotaryknobTUNE/SELECT(9)likeaconventionalbutton,thisconrmsaselectionorasetting.
• You can adjust the volume of the headphones by adjusting the buttons
/ (31). The (17) key mutes the
sound.
• Use the remote control with the arrow buttons (20) to navigate in the menu.
• The BACK (7) button will take you a step back in many functions or settings.
• The FORWARD
(8) button will take you a step forward in many functions or settings.
• The button MODE (28) switches through the different operating modes. When you push this button, the device
switches to the respective next operating mode.
• The MENU
(6) or (23) button opens the radio's main menu.
Function of additional buttons
• Press the button (19) or button (29) to directly access the favourites list to store stations or to select stored
stations.
• The
button (21) opens the settings for the alarm directly.
• The DIMMER button (34) directly opens the settings for the display brightness.
• In standby mode, the display brightness can be adjusted manually by turning the rotary knob TUNE/SELECT (9).
• The LOCAL button (25) opens a local station selection with which you can select local stations according to different
categories.
• The
button (22) opens the setting for the sleeptimer directly.
