DB-230C SW update procedure
1. The update supports under Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8. Save the firmware
file to your PC and unzip it first.
2. Disconnect the power adaptor from the Radio.
3. Hold the button first and then connect the power adaptor at the same time. The radio
will enter the F/W update mode.
4. Connect a USB cable with both ends in Port A type, see attached photo, one end to the
USB port on the back of the radio, the other end to the PC.
5. You will see an additional Removable drive appears on the PC, copy the software
firmware file to this removable drive (If there are more than one file of the firmware, please
do the update one at a time). Then right click your mouse at the removable drive and choose
“Eject”, the software will start to update.
6. After the update is completed, the radio will reboot itself.
7. Repeat the steps above from 2-7 to update with another firmware file if any.
