13. Maintenance and Cleaning
You must observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the internet radio:
Live components may be exposed, when the covering is opened or components are removed. Prior to start
of maintenance or repair works, the device must be disconnected from all voltage sources.
Capacitors in the device can still carry a charge even if the device has been disconnected from all voltage
sources.
Onlyqualiedexpertsfamiliarwiththehazardsinvolvedandtherelevantregulationsmayperformrepairs.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions since these could
damage the housing or even impair operation.
• Disconnect the product from the mains supply before each cleaning procedure.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
14. Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in the household waste. Dispose of an unserviceable
product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries from the remote control and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Disposal of Used Batteries
You as the ultimate consumer are legally obliged (Regulation on Spent Batteries) to return all dead batteries
and accumulators. Disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in
household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Lead.
Youcanreturnyourusedbatteries/rechargeablebatteriesfreeofchargeattheofcialcollectionpointsin
yourmunicipality,inourstores,oranywherebatteriesaresold.Thatwayyoufullyourstatutoryobligations
and contribute to the protection of the environment.
