Setup #2 - EIB Adresse
The installer can assign different
main group addresses, in the
range from 0 to 15, when pro-
gramming the EIB bus coupler
units (BCU) for the Revox
Multiroom controller keypads.
All keypads and/or their BCUs,
which are used for controlling the
Revox Multiroom System must
have the same main group
address (X). All other installation
areas, e.g. lighting or heating,
must be assigned a different
main group address than the
Revox EIB-Bridge. Otherwise,
wrong interpretations may result.
The main group address used (X)
is set on page #2. Setting is done
using the two softkeys – Address
+. You do not have to confirm the
address setting. Main address 5
was used in the above example.
In this case, all BCUs and/or their
keypad units, which are used to
control the Revox Multiroom
System must also have the main
group address 5 so that the
controls work correctly.
The definition of the middle (Y)
and lower (Z) group addresses is
handled by the Revox protocol.
An individual group address YZ
results from each combination of
(Multiroom) zone, room and
function.
The easiest way of calculating
the individual YZ group
addresses is to use the Excel
Configuration guide that can be
downloaded from the Revox
Homepage, ww.revox.de /
Download/ Re:connect.
You can see the room and zone
assignments of a maximum
configuration Revox Multiroom
System on page 13.
The address for rooms 1 – 8 in
the corresponding zones is set
through DIL switches on the
M219 Additional room amplifier.
You will find a description in the
M219 Additional room amplifier
Operating manual.
Another convenient way of
determining the room addresses
is the Revox Multiroom planner
PC software, which can be
downloaded free of charge from
the Revox homepage.
