Attaching the front camera to the window mount Before the device can be used in a car, it is essential to first install a properly attached window mount. Make sure that you place the recorder in a safe, appropriate location where it will not obstruct the driver’s view. Connecting the charger to the car's 12V DC outlet Be sure to connect only the Rexing-approved charger designed and supplied specifically for use with your device. Using an incompatible charger can cause serious personal injury or damage to your device. 4. Format the memory card To ensure the memory card works on the dash cam, we highly recommend using the dash cam to format the memory card (See: Page 26).
Getting Started Installing your F10 Dashboard Camera • The device can be used while it is charging, although it may take longer to fully charge the battery. • If the device receives an unstable power supply while charging, the screen may not function properly. If this happens, unplug the charger from the device. • While charging, the device may heat up. This is normal and should not affect the device’s performance or lifespan.
Getting Started Installing your F10 Dashboard Camera It is recommended that you reformat a memory card after every time the images are transferred to a computer, or at least once a month. Reformatting a memory card keeps important elements of data and file structure clean, helping to prevent error messages and missing images. Reformatting also restores the memory card, which can help prevent it from becoming corrupted.
Getting Started Installing your F10 Dashboard Camera Removing the Memory Card Before removing a memory card from your computer, you must first prepare it for safe removal. Before removing a memory card from your device: 1. 2. 3. Press the Power/OK button to stop the device from recording Press and hold Power/OK button to power the device off. A welcome message will be displayed onscreen as shown in the image below. To turn off the device, again press and hold the Power/OK button for a few seconds. A goodbye message will be displayed onscreen. Note: The F10 Dashboard Camera will switch on and off automatically if you keep it permanently connected to the car charger.

Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Settings Loop Recording Recommended setting: 3 Minutes With Loop Recording Mode enabled, the device will continuously erase older video as it records new video, keeping only the images captured over a userselected time range. All video older than this range will be replaced with the newest video recorded. Any locked video files on the memory card will remain protected, and will not be automatically deleted during Loop Recording.
Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Settings Motion Detection Recommended setting: Off Motion detection will record video when motion is detected by the device. Note: The device needs to be powered to use motion detection function. Recording Audio Recommended setting: On Allows you to record audio with your video, or turn off the microphone so that all your recordings will be without audio. Date Stamp Allows you to stamp the date and time to your recordings.
Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Settings SYSTEM SETTINGS In Video Recording Mode or Photo Mode, press MENU twice to open the Setup menu (in Video Recording Mode, you must first stop recording, done by pressing Power/OK). WiFi Used to enable/disable Wi-Fi function (See: Page 27). Date/ Time Setup Use this setting to change the device’s time and date.

Frequency Recommended setting (for United States): 60Hz This option should be set according to the power supply specification used in your country or geographical region (U.S. users should select the "60Hz" option).

Default Setting Performing this operation will reset all your device's settings to their original values. Note: Any user-customized settings will be lost. Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Photo Settings PHOTO SETTINGS In Photo Mode, Press MENU once to open the Still Menu. Capture Mode Recommended setting: Single Allows you to set a timer that counts down before capturing images. Resolution Recommended setting: 5M This option allows you to set the pixel resolution for captured images. Sequence Recommended setting: Off When enabled, this feature allows you to capture a sequence of 3 quickly successive photos (typically known as burst mode).
Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Photo Settings Sharpness Recommended setting: Normal This feature will automatically enhance captured images for a clearer, more distinct picture. White Balance Recommended setting: Auto This setting allows you to adjust the white balance for different lighting environments. When set to Auto, the device will automatically determine appropriate white balance for the video.
Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Photo Settings Exposure Recommended setting: +0.0 Allows you to adjust the camera exposure value to either brighten or darken your images. Anti-Shaking Recommended setting: Off This feature enables the image stabilizer function to reduce blurring of captured images. Quick Review Recommended setting: Off Enabling this feature will allow you to immediately view each captured image for a few seconds before taking the next photo.
Operating your F10 Dashboard Camera Updating Firmware Updating Firmware After locating the appropriate firmware from the Rexing website, follow these instructions to update the firmware for your F10 Dashboard Camera. 1. Download the firmware file to your computer 2. Unzip the file 3. Format your memory card 4. Copy the firmware files to the root of your card (not within any folders) 5. Insert card into camera after safely ejecting from your computer 6. Power camera on while the camera is plugged in 7.
