INSTALLATION
NOTES:
• Models UDX and UDZ are designed for either two- or four-point suspension. Models UBX, UBZ,
and UEZ are designed for four-point suspension.
• Before installing a downturn nozzle, ensure that the unit is installed with four-point suspension
in accordance with the installation manual provided with the unit and ensure that the location
provides sufficient clearance for nozzle option being installed.
Install the downturn nozzle kit as follows:
1. Asssemble downturn nozzle assembly (see Figure 1) as follows:
a. Secure both side sections to top section using screws.
b. Slide bottom section into place so that it rests on small tabs on each side.
c. If installing option CD3 or CD5, assemble second nozzle section. Sections will be joined in step 12.

2. If heater is installed, turn OFF gas and electric power. Allow time for louvers to cool before proceeding.
3. Remove each horizontal louver by pushing louver toward spring to release louver.
4. Remove door on right side of unit to access screws that secure face plate assembly (see Figure 2) to front of
unit. Remove screws and remove face plate assembly.
