Water Heater Energy Cover Installation Instructions
(Provided only on specic models.)

Items Provided:
1 - water heater energy cover
1 - water heater energy cover top
2 - tape strips - 3” x 40”
Installation:
1. With vinyl side out, wrap the cover
around water heater as shown in
Figure 1.
2. Apply 3 pieces of tape 6” long across
cover seam as shown in Figure 2.
3. Apply a strip of tape 32” long over
entire length of seam, as shown in
Figure 3.
4. Insulate top of water heater by placing
top insulation as shown in Fig. 4.
5. Secure top insulation to cover by using
4 tape strips 6” long as shown in fig. 5.
!
CAUTION: Avoid contact with your
eyes and skin. Wear long sleeved, loose
fitting clothing, gloves and eye protection
when handling fiberglass. Wash with
soap and warm water after handling.
