HOT SENSOR LEAD
The plug on the hot sensor lead connected to the solar control board, located behind the front cover of the
solar storage tank, is to be connected to the socket on the hot sensor from the solar collector.
To connect the hot sensor leads together:
Feed the hot sensor lead from the solar
collector through the jacket penetration,
located to the left of the access cover of
the solar storage tank
Connect the plug on the hot sensor lead
from the solar control board to the
socket on the hot sensor lead from the
solar collector.
Place the gland around the hot sensor
lead from the solar collector, no less
than 300 mm from the sensor lead
socket, close and lock the gland and
insert into the jacket penetration.
The 300 mm distance should leave
sufficient excess lead inside of the water
heater jacket.
Ensure the gland is placed on the hot
sensor lead external to the water heater.
Secure the hot sensor lead to the side of
the solar storage tank using the cable tie
mounts provided to prevent possible
damage to the lead.
Secure the hot sensor lead to the accessible insulated pipe work using the cable ties provided.
