Grounding Instructions Assembling the Vacuum Household Models: RSL1A, RSL3, RSL4 and RSL5 To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance is equipped with a polarized alternating Nozzle Cloth bag current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug.

Vacuum Features Vacuum Features On/Off Switch On/Off two speed switch on handle cont. Pull the switch backward to turn the vacuum on. Push the switch halfway back to turn the vacuum off. Push the switch all the way forward to use the maximum power setting. NOTE: There are three different on/off switch configurations depending on the model you own. Vacuum Features How To Change the Vacuum Bag Brushroll Jam Indicator Models: RSL5 & RSL5C If an object, such as a throw rug or article of clothing is ever picked up into your vacuum, the vacuum will sense this “jammed brushroll” condition and turn off the brushroll. When this happens, the “brushroll warning” light on the top of the nozzle will flash in red. • Turn off the vacuum and remove the cause of the jam. Turn vacuum back on.
