If you are using the camera for the first time, read this section.

1 Turn the battery/card cover knob toward the M
mark to open the cover.
2 Lift the latch with the AC
adapter coupler and insert
the coupler all the way into
the battery compartment.
• Insert the AC adapter coupler all
the way in until the latch locks.
3 Connect the AC cable to
the AC adapter and then
plug the power cord into an
outlet.
Using the AC Adapter (sold separately)
When shooting or viewing still images for a long time, or when
connecting to your computer, use of the AC adapter (sold
separately) is recommended. If you have already used this
camera, make sure it is turned off before loading the AC adapter
coupler.
