Energy Saver Mode—Saving
Energy
If you do not operate the machine for
a certain period after copying, or
when you press and hold the {
Clear
Modes/Energy Saver
} key for more than
one second, the display disappears
and the machine enters Energy Saver
mode. When you press the {
Clear
Modes/Energy Sever
} key again, when
the originals are set in the document
feeder, or when the platen cover or
document feeder is opened, the ma-
chine returns to the ready condition.
In Energy Saver mode, the machine
uses less electricity.
The Energy Saver mode makes a two-
step reduction in electricity: one for
the period up to the time set for Low
Power mode, the other for the period
after that time.
Note
The period for which the machine
remains in Energy Saver mode (i.e.
the period until the mode is turned
off to return to the ready condi-
tion) varies with the effectiveness
of energy saving.
If you press the {
Clear Modes/Energy
Saver
} key during the operation,
the current settings will be cleared.
