When printing onto thin paper
A Set the side pads to both sides
of the paper feed side plates.
Make sure that the paper feed
side plates touch the paper
lightly.
D Shift the lock lever to its original
position.
E When you finish printing, shift
the feed roller pressure lever to
the Standard paper position.
Separation Pressure Lever
Position
A To prevent double feed, adjust
the paper separation pressure us-
ing the separation pressure lever.
Note
❒ Paper separation pressure can
be adjusted according to the pa-
per weights as shown in the fol-
lowing table.

This position can also be used if
the leading edge of the paper is
curled, or when the paper does
not feed properly.
