Changing Power-Save
Mode Settings (POWER-
SAVE)
You can reduce the power consumption of
the LCD Monitor and extend the life of your
batteries.
The display on the LCD Monitor will turn off.
Press the Q (Quick Review) button or the
M button to turn the LCD Monitor Dis-
play on, and then press them again to turn
the display off.
Press the ADJ. button to turn the LCD Moni-
tor on for setting. After the end of setting, the
display returns to off.
You cannot turn the LCD Monitor Display on/
off by pressing the T (Self-timer) or N
(Macro) button.
At the time of purchase, Power-Save Mode is
set to [OFF].
To change the Power-Save Mode, follow the
steps below.
1. Turn the Mode Dial to 1

(Setup Mode).
The Setup Screen appears.
2. Press the "
""
" button to select
[POWER SAVE].
3. Press #$
#$#$
#$ to select the desired
setting.
This setting will be used until you change
it.
• If the power is turned on or the mode dial is
turned in Power-Save mode, a warning
appears for about two seconds to indicate
Power-Save mode.
• Pressing the F (Flash) button allows you to
turn the LCD Monitor Display on, and then
change the flash setting (see P.52). Press
the shutter button or OK button to turn the
LCD Monitor Display off.
If you have activated Power-Save mode,
power consumption will be reduced, but
there are the following limitations.
• Processing time may be slower.
• It works only in Shooting Mode. It does not
work in Playback Mode.

OFF (Power-Save Mode Inactivated) (Set at purchase)
ON (Activate Power-Save Mode)
